Amy comes from the US and has worked with Intercultura since 2018, starting as the Teen Program chaperone and now running Teen & Group Coordination. She has lived in Costa Rica for many years, having obtained her MA from the UN-mandated Universidad para la Paz in San José. Amy is a great resource for students – she has been there herself as a Spanish student and knows how to make everyone feel comfortable and included as they settle in. She teaches workshops at Intercultura and Universidad para la Paz in leadership and empowered intercultural communication, and puts her knowledge in this area to good use helping students adjust to their programs and life in Costa Rica. In her free time, Amy enjoys teaching yoga, offering community development classes, and going to the beach.
